Paper negative print

iPhone reflection
The first black and white photography class I took required everyone to make a paper negative print on the first day. It was easy, and a good way to introduce the basics of the enlarger to students.

Catching my reflection on a white canvas reminded me of those days in the darkroom, and I reenacted what I typically look like when taking a picture with my iPhone for this project. It also had an “E.T. phone home” feel about it.

This is day 30 of Photo 365.

Striiiiiiiiiiike

Over the past few days we’ve had all-staff meetings at the office, which means meetings, presentations, goal setting and objectives. After all was said and done, we had a little fun at the Ran-Ham, a classic 1950s style bowling alley in Saint Paul, Minn. The lanes broke down on occasion and our balls disappeared into oblivion a few times, but we had fun. I’m fortunate to work with good people. And they like to bowl, which is a bonus.

This is day 29 of Photo 365.

Saint Paul Saintly Cat Show

Saint Paul
The 37th annual Saintly City Cat Show opened during the Saint Paul Winter Carnival this weekend. The show is one of my favorite Winter Carnival activities, mostly because of the characters you meet of the human and feline kind. This cat owner was no exception.

Day 21 of Photo 365 is interactive!

What do you think this is? It’s still dreadfully cold here in Minnesota, so I didn’t venture out tonight. That is your only hint – this photo was taken in my home.

Let’s see how many creative guesses I can get. 🙂
