The rain came down on day 292 of Photo 365. The forecast overnight calls for a 50 percent chance of snow. Oh goodie.

Pillars
If you google the word “pillar” you find descriptions such as, “a post that holds up something” or “an architectural element.” There is even a Christian rock band called Pillar.
In Lowertown this type of pillar is everywhere. It holds up overpasses, parking ramps and even the walls of our loft space. It served its purpose in an industrial era and I’m happy so many pillars have been preserved along with much of this neighborhood.

Annoyed
Seventh Street Social
I have that great girlfriend who is my complete opposite, but when we get together, we laugh, tell each other our deepest secrets over a glass of wine, and are more honest with each other than anyone else. You know – THAT person in your life. Tonight I was with my bestie at a new Saint Paul restaurant called Seventh Street Social. She did happy hour food – shrimp tacos and onion rings, which looked to be deep fried in a salt and pepper batter. Yum.

Garlic soup
One of my absolute favorite things to do is to put something in the crockpot on Sunday mornings. Dear husband bought five pounds of organic garlic for me recently, and that meant I HAD to break out my favorite garlic soup recipe. It has 44 cloves of garlic in it. Needless to say, after roasting the cloves and then placing them in the crockpot with onions and thyme to simmer all day, the house smells amazing.
Forty-four cloves of garlic saturated in black truffle oil, olive oil, salt and pepper were part of my day 286 of Photo 365.
